From a body scan to a pattern your seamstress can cut

Add a client, take a front and a side photo (or video), check the measurements, then draft a trouser or jacket pattern and print it at full size.

  • Camera at chest height, about 3 m away, held level.
  • Whole body in frame, feet included, with space above the head.
  • Front: arms about 30° away from the body, feet about 20 cm apart.

The Used column drives the patterns. Edit anything that looks wrong. Photo estimates can be off by several centimetres, so check them with a tape measure. Enter tape values in the last column to build an accuracy log.

    Garments

Before cutting cloth: these are starter blocks. Print at 100% (actual size), check the 5 cm square, cut a toile in cheap fabric and fit it. Pockets, fly, lining and canvas are not drafted yet.
